Renée is a sculptor and maker who works with scagliola, a traditional craft that dates back to the 17th century. She creates “made stone” in marbleised form using natural pigments and composites. Her output includes sculptures, wall art, objects, and contemporary design pieces, each entirely one of a kind and shaped through a labour‑intensive process.
Renée brings a contemporary perspective to this historic technique, exploring texture, depth, and the expressive potential of the enduring craft, and she experiments with colour combinations that do not exist in natural stone.
